POKOTABI / Bar Mado
バー 麻戸 Bar Mado
At Bar Mado in Nishi-Asakusa, guests can unwind over seasonal fruit cocktails and the signature Mado at a quiet, gently curved counter.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Tucked along a quiet street in Nishi-Asakusa, Bar Mado provides a calm setting where solo patrons and small parties alike can settle in peacefully over a drink. Inside, a distinctive curved counter anchors the monochrome interior, where silent video projections along the wall complement the relaxed, unhurried atmosphere.
The menu's initial standout is the selection of drinks featuring seasonal fruit. Vibrant, fruit-forward options range from a beni-amanatsu citrus Salty Dog and a gold kiwi XYZ to a Taiwanese pineapple Matador and a blueberry gin cocktail. Alongside these refreshing creations highlighting natural sweetness, the bar offers its namesake signature drink, Mado, as well as an alcoholic spiced masala chai milk tea, catering to varied tastes and moods.
The bar also pours classics like martinis and mojitos, neat spirits, and beer, with light fare such as Cuban sandwiches on hand. Hours run from 20:00 until 3:00 the following morning, with Wednesdays closed. It is a dependable stop for capping off an evening in Asakusa with an attentively crafted cocktail.
